I'd like to test drive this software but I keep getting this message box mentioned above. I followed the lead of the answers in the forum and deleted ALL files of Landlordmax from my computer but still keep getting this message when I try to run the trial.

Hi,

It's great to hear that you would like to try the software. That being said have you altered the Username or License Code in any way? I ask because altering them immediately invalidates your license.

Also can you please send a screenshot of the trial license screen. The reason I ask is because it will help us both confirm the license information entered (it should be trial so it's fine to print a screenshot) and it will confirm whether or not the appropriate files were deleted to reset the trial. A trial can only be reset if the whole database is manually deleted. If you wish you can also send us a screenshot of the folder you deleted so that we can confirm you deleted the correct database folder. Again please note that it's only possible to reset a trial if you delete your database, you cannot extend a trial by uninstalling and re-installing the software just in case this is what you did.

I have been a LLM user since 2016 and really didn't want to convert to the cloud edition. Is it possible to continue using the original version we purchased in 2016? We were under the impression that we HAD to transition to the cloud version.

Hi James,

Yes you can continue to use the old version just please be aware that it is discontinued and no longer supported. That means that if for example Microsoft or Apple make changes to their operating system that require an update to software applications like what just happened with Apple in November then the Desktop Edition could stop working without any notice and there would be no way to transfer the data you already have to the Cloud Edition. In other words any Apple/Mac users who upgraded their Mac's to Big Sur since November found the software stopped working after they updated their computers. So far this hasn't happened with Microsoft Windows but as that version is discontinued should. that happen there would be no resolution nor could the data be recovered. That is the risk you would be taking by staying with the previous version that's been discontinued. Having seen the impact it has had with our Apple customers, and they could recover the database as the data could be converted at the time, we therefore very strongly recommend upgrading to the Cloud Edition. All that to say you can but be aware it is at your own risk.
