Hi Stephan, Is there a way to account for lost rent that a tenant has not paid, and will uncollected? I.E the tenant has left and owes money but it will not get recovered. For now, it just shows the rent is still due and late and the entry will that forever. Is there an account for bad debt, or would you suggest that is something I create? thanks, Sunny |

Hi Sunny, Yes but depending on which version you are using the options are slightly different. With the Cloud Edition you can just select the checkbox NSF to indicate that the transaction is either a bounced check or that it will never be paid. The accounting reports will include the transactions but they will be greyed out and NOT included in the totals. In the previous installed Editions you would have to enter in "NSF" for the Amount Paid (there is no checkbox) whereas with the Cloud Edition the Amount Paid can be whatever you wish which helps to indicate if it's a bounced check or an amount that will never be paid.
