Security Deposit Report

Hi. I have looked in the FAQ and the manual (section 2.2), but don't see where or how or where I can make security deposit deductions and then be able to create a statement for the tenant.

I did look in the Reports area, also.

Hi Jeff,

If I'm reading your question correctly what you're asking for is a printed document for the tenant rather than a report. In this case what we normally is that you create an invoice and/or receipt. The first line item is the security deposit amount and the second line item is the deduction from the security deposit.

So for example the first line item could be "Security Deposit" with the Amount being $1000. Then the second line would be "Damages" with the Amount being "-200". This would then print out a receipt for $800 which is what you owe the tenant after the damages have been deducted.
