Latest upgrade

I tried to upgrade to the latest software and did not realize that mine had expired for any future updates. It has now apparently uninstalled my latest software. Is there any way to get it back without installing the outdated software that I have on a disc?

Hi Rachael,

Firstly it's good to hear that you want to upgrade. If you have uninstalled the latest version you can always just re-download and re-install it from the website. You will of course need to purchase an upgraded license at a 50% discount to use the latest version as your license does not include it, but you can always re-download and re-install it from the software at any time as shown in Section 2 of the user manual at: http://www.landlordmax.com/support/index.php?pg=kb.book&id=2

That being said please note that we strongly recommend you upgrade for security reasons to the latest version. In good consiciousness we can't recommend using older versions for security reasons. For example the recent Home Depot hack was because the company was using outdated and obsolete software: http://www.dailytech.com/Appalling+Negligence+DecadeOld+Windows+XPe+Holes+Led+to+Home+Depot+Hack/article36517.htm This doesn't mean that older versions of the software weren't secure, it just means that no updates or fixes have been done on the previous version in almost half a year, as well as no further support is planned. For most software this isn't a big issue (for example a movie player software, a music player, etc.) but when it comes to managing properties you are storing very sensitive financial information related to your tenants, so security is important. The same as I'm sure you would want your mortgage broker (or Home Depot) to store your sensitive information on updated software and systems. It may be more than you need but because you're dealing with sensitive financial data it is important to keep your software updated.

Lastly, if you haven't had a chance to see the list of the latest features of the software you can find them at: http://www.landlordmax.com/support/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=180
