Adding a Computer

Hello,
I currently use Landlord Max on one desktop computer at my office. I'd like to be able to access my database at home, as well. Would I just need to buy an additional license?

Also, my current home computer is a MacBook Air. Am I able to do that with a PC and a Mac?

Thanks,
Valerie

Hi Valerie,

It depends on your license. If you contact us privately I can answer that more directly but for your privacy I can only answer more generically.

That being said please note that the Desktop Edition of LandlordMax is a standalone desktop application, therefore if you install it on your laptop and desktop it's up to you keep track of your master database and move it back and forth (as well as verify that both installations of LandlordMax are the same version). The software will not merge two separate databases, much as Microsoft Word won't merge two separate documents. You can find the information about how to backup and restore your database at: http://www.landlordmax.com/support/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=140

If you want to connect different the two computers to the same central system so that they can both access the same data in real time by different people, then you will need to upgrade to one of the Network Editions as shown in Section 7 of the user manual at: http://www.landlordmax.com/support/index.php?pg=kb.book&id=2

And in both cases, you can use the software on both Mac and Windows based computers interchangably.
