data entry not showing up

Good morning, I have entered data i.e. Monthly Management Fee however it does not show up when I print a report by building by category. Since the fee is the same every month, I use a short cut by just changing the date and saving (leaving all the other fields like amount due and paid etc... unchanged). For some reason, it seems that the program is not picking up these particular data entry. Would you know if there is a fix for this problem?

I'm using Landlord Max V.6.05d for Mac.

thank you in advance for your help.

Interestingly enough, when I go into the vendor list (for the Monthly Management Co.) and click on View, I see all the entries; however these entries are not being picked up by the report.

Hi Paul,

Firstly please note that the current version of the software is version 11.05c. Version 6.05d has been discontinued now for almost 2-3 years. Therefore regardless of the issue here we do recommend you upgrade for security reasons. And please note that you get a 50% discount on upgrading to the current version. Also if you haven't had a chance to see the list of the latest features of the software you can find them at: http://www.landlordmax.com/support/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=180

Again please note that we do strongly recommend you upgrade for security reasons to the latest version. In good consiciousness we can't recommend using older versions for security reasons. For example the recent Home Depot hack was because the company was using outdated and obsolete software: http://www.dailytech.com/Appalling+Negligence+DecadeOld+Windows+XPe+Holes+Led+to+Home+Depot+Hack/article36517.htm This doesn't mean that older versions of the software weren't secure, it just means that no updates or fixes have been done on the previous version in almost half a year, as well as no further support is planned. For most software this isn't a big issue (for example a movie player software, a music player, etc.) but when it comes to managing properties you are storing very sensitive financial information related to your tenants, so security is important. The same as I'm sure you would want your mortgage broker (or Home Depot) to store your sensitive information on updated software and systems. It may be more than you need but because you're dealing with sensitive financial data it is important to keep your software updated.

That being said for your report can you please confirm that this entry has a Date Paid that is within the Start Date and End Date set for the report. The software uses the Date Paid to determine which entries will appear in the reports. Secondly can you please verify that the correct Building is selected for the accounting entries you expect to appear as well. If both of these match up, then can you please contact us at support@LandlordMax.com with a screenshot of a sample accounting entry you expect to appear in the report as well as a screenshot of your report (so that we can confirm the settings, etc.). Basically if there's an issue we need to be able to replicate it. With that in mind, please note that this version has been discontinued at least 2-3 years ago, therefore there is no official support any more for this version, so our options may be limited.

Hello, I am using the trial software and it does not allow me to enter a Unit number in the building.
Stephane Grenier | email Apr 12 2015, 10:39 PM
Hi Larry,

The Units must be created through the Units section of the software because of the complexity and data involved with each unit, you cannot create them within the Buildings section.

You can find more details and information on how to create Units in Section 4.3 of the user manual at: http://www.landlordmax.com/support/index.php?pg=kb.book&id=2
