How do I show only active Security Deposits per building/tenant. I have one tenant that has 3 lease renewals and have entered the lease amount into all the leases agreements . Do I have to remove the lease from the previous lease so that it does not show up. The reports is also showing the security deposits of tenants that have moved out. |

Hi Paul, You need to set the Start Date and End Date for the report. So for example if you want to see all Security Deposits for the year 2014 you need to set the Start Date to Jan 1, 2014 and the End Date to Dec 31st, 2014. Hi Alan, You're correct the security deposits cannot be expanded, the only way to manage this is to add them in the comments section for the relevant leases. As far as we know, there is no solution anywhere near the price of our Desktop Edition that offers this, you'd need to move up to solutions costing $1000 or more. From my understanding of the original question, I have the same one, and it wasn't answered. I have a tenant that put up a security deposit when the lease started. They have moved out, and I returned the security deposit. I put the date for the lease end, but there is no place to record the return of the deposit. When I pull a list of security deposits, it still shows the tenants that have left, with active security deposits in the total. Is there a place to record the return of the deposit so that it no longer shows in the list that you have them? |

Hi Sheila, The above question was actually asking for the ability to put in multiple different types of security deposits whereas you're asking how to manage a security deposit when the tenant leaves (that is you have to use part of the security deposit to repair damages, etc.). In this case I'll refer you to the following FAQ page for more details: http://www.landlordmax.com/support/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=58 Regards, Stephan Grenier Founder LandlordMax Software Inc. http://www.LandlordMax.com http://www.FollowSteph.com |
