Dropbox

I have been moving my database from my home computer to my work computer using a usb thumb drive. I have been considering using dropbox to export/ import.
The problem I am having is I can not find the dropbox location from the LLMax database Management page. I know Dropbox resides under favorites, but that does not come up as an option.
I can save it to a folder on my c drive then move it to drop box but it is another step. (both ways...)
Is there an easier way to do this? or should I move to Google Drive?

Thanks

windows 7 & 8.1

Hi Bill,

It's great to hear that you're using LandlordMax. In terms of exporting and importing to the dropbox folder you can find the actual location according to the following Dropbox help page: https://www.dropbox.com/help/321

What you can do is go to the Dropbox folder in Windows Explorer (assuming you're using a Windows based computer) and then select the full address from the address bar to copy and paste into LandlordMax.

The favorites is a shortcut for the Windows system and is not an actual file/folder location, so you need to point to the actual location.

Stephan,

Thanks for the quick support.
That works for me. It looks like this :
c:\users\bill\dropbox\landlordmax Then I pick the .RAN file to import.

Thanks

Hi Bill,

You're more than welcome. And yes that makes sense. The only thing is that the path is dependent on your computer's User account (in your case bill). Everyone will have a different path based on the User Account setup for their computer.
