LandlordMax can support multiple property owners per Building in its database. In the software they are called “Landlords” for simplicity. Depending on your situation, that is to say if you’re a property management company vs an individual landlord, you will then probably want to create the landlords for your buildings and associate them to their respective buildings. If you are an individual landlord you can create the landlord entry but it’s probably not necessary.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A property owner (landlord) can own multiple buildings, as well multiple people can own a single building. For reporting functionality, it is also possible to assign the percentage of ownership to the individual landlords for each property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that although we are only showing how to add a single landlord that the process to add more buildings is the same, as well as is the process to add more Landlords to a Building. You will also find a similar Buildings sub section under the Landlord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create a Landlord<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To create a Landlord go to the Landlords section by first clicking on the People & Companies<\/strong> \"\" menu button in the main menu at the top of the screen followed by Landlords <\/strong>\"\".<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Landlords<\/strong> section you then click New <\/strong>in the menu on the right side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the pop-up box, select the type of Landlord \"\" as Individual owner<\/strong> or Company<\/strong>. Once you have confirmed the type of landlord, press Ok<\/strong> \"\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this example Individual Owner<\/strong> was selected which means we’re presented with a data entry screen with fields for an individual person versus a company. We can then enter in the information for the Landlord<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once we are happy with the details we entered for the Landlord<\/strong> we can then click on the\u00a0Save<\/strong>\u00a0button at the bottom of the page which will then save the new Landlord and bring us back to the Data View of the Landlord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add a Building<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Below the main Data View you will find a list of\u00a0SubPanels<\/strong>. The\u00a0SubPanels\u00a0are lists of all the associated data for the main data, which in this case means that the\u00a0SubPanels\u00a0are all the lists of data associated with the\u00a0Landlord\u00a0such as the lists of\u00a0Buildings\u00a0<\/strong>they own, any\u00a0Documents<\/strong>\u00a0associated with the\u00a0Landlord<\/strong>, and so on.\u00a0Each\u00a0SubPanel\u00a0can be expanded by clicking on the\u00a0+ button<\/strong>\u00a0and in our case we’ll click on the\u00a0+ button<\/strong>\u00a0for the\u00a0Buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clicking on the\u00a0+ button<\/strong>\u00a0will show the list of\u00a0Buildings<\/strong>\u00a0that the\u00a0Landlord<\/strong>\u00a0owns. In this case since it’s a new\u00a0Landlord\u00a0the list of\u00a0Buildings\u00a0will empty\u00a0(if you wish to learn more about\u00a0how the Data Filters work then we recommend this video<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once in the Buildings SubPanel <\/strong>click on the Add<\/strong> button to add a new Building<\/strong> to the Landlord<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After clicking on the\u00a0Add<\/strong>\u00a0button you will be presented with the\u00a0Building Association<\/strong>\u00a0popup window. Select the Building you want to add for the Landlord \"\". Next enter in the ownership percentage \"\". Lastly click on the\u00a0Add<\/strong>\u00a0button to add the\u00a0Building<\/strong>\u00a0to the\u00a0Landlord<\/strong> \"\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n
