What upgrades, updates, and releases do I get when I purchase a license of LandlordMax?
3.1. What upgrades, updates, and releases do I get when I purchase a license of LandlordMax?
Anyone who purchases LandlordMax Property Management Software is entitled to up approximately one year of free software upgrades and updates, including major releases from the month of purchase. LandlordMax Property Management Software does not differentiate the license by released version but rather by dates. Should you choose not to upgrade and/or update to the latest version, you can continue to use the last version of LandlordMax Property Management Software you had installed indefinetely (please note however that support is limited to last 6-12 months of released versions)
In the Extras workarea, in the Version & License section, there are two label below the license agreement. The first label, identifies which version of LandlordMax you're currently using. The second label starts with "LandlordMax valid until version" and then identifies a version number. Your license allows you to upgrade for free until LandlordMax reaches this version.
The LandlordMax Property Management Software version number is based on the date of release, where the version represents year.month. Version 1.00 is now considered to have been released on year 1 of month 0 (January, 2004). In this case, version 1.02 was released on year 1, month 2 (now considered to be March, 2004). The license entitles you to the month you purchased the software plus an addtional 11 months. This gives you up to approximately 1 year of free upgrades and updates, including major releases. Hence, if you purchase version 1.00, you are entitled to all versions up to version 1.11 (January 2004 to December 2004), if you however purchase LandlordMax Property Management Software in between releases, for example July 2004, you are entitled to all versions up to version 2.06 (July 2004 to June 2005), and so on.
