Bank Deposit Slip

Hi,

Just checking out your software to see if it works for us. Quick question ....

Is there a report that we could use for bank deposits (ie a list of deposit items, ideally with a list of whether rent was received in cash or cheque form)? I've already set up individual bank accounts for our landlords.

Hi Doris,

The software unfortunately doesn't have a report for bank deposits. All reports offer itemized lists of all entries (payments), but they don't by default include a payment type of column. That being said, you can include this information in the Description field, even if it's redundant with the Payment Type field, just so that it appears in the printed reports.

If I make a entry for bank deposit list (only) for example Deposits for a certain account. Would this change the revenue and expense total. I am thinking have an account enter description bank deposit as a category. Would this work by running a report for a deposit for a account?

Hi Bonnie,

I apologize but I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean?

That being said are you trying to use the software as a ledger based accounting solution where it will also manage your bank deposits? If so then this is not possible, that part has to be managed outside of the software with another program. Solutions that do both will cost a lot more than LandlordMax and be a lot more complicated to use.
